Showering! (Not literally)

Well I must admit I am LOVING this phase of being engaged!!!

My first shower was the traditional Chi Omega mother/daughter clan and we were at 4510 which was so fun- please try the signature panini and chicken curry salad... yummm!!! It was pretty hilarious b/c my friends noticed that Deb (my mother) got JUST as excited as I did every time I opened a gift! I feel so very lucky to have such great friends. We played a game where they had emailed Logan questions about me and I had to answer- for every answer I got correct, I got to dig a prize out of the "Abby's Favorite Things Bag"- in it was Sleepless in Seattle, chocolate chip cookies, fresh markers, polka dotted socks, my favorite song lyrics, a journal, on and on... It was SO clever and cute! Here are some highlights..

THEN on Sunday night I reunited with the LHHS clan- It was so fun seeing not only my friends but their parents as well... We had Olive Garden (my FAVE!!!) and then opened more presents... It was like Christmas morning ALL WEEKEND LONG!!! Here are a few pics from that shower as well :)

LOOK AT ALL OUR STUFF... Thank you notes, here I come!!

Sunday we were at Gateway and none other than Kari Jobe herself was back singing in the worship service and she just so happened to sing "Revelation Song" which we heard a few months back and decided to have sung in our wedding... so we got to hear the artist sing her song, and I was crying... emotional lately? um, YES!

Some things to look FORWARD TO...

#1 Thursday night is my STOCK THE BAR SHOWER... Logan is especially excited about this one!

#2 My wedding party ladies- the countdown is on for the BACHELORETTE PARTY!!! Napa, I'm coming back :)

Its around the corner!

AHHHHHHHHHHH so many fun things.

#1 We got our very first wedding gift- Logan felt like we should label it for photographic evidence. Congrats David Arveson- you and your family are the lucky features and we LOVE the wooden C&B tray!!! Who knew I would get so excited about a tray? haha

#2 We had our wine tasting last night at Delaney to pick out the beverages for the big DAY! It was so much fun- we also figured out table placements, dance floor, sign in table, etc. When we left it was the most gorgeous sunset- pretty surreal thinking the next time I am at Delaney I will be arriving at my OWN wedding reception!!! AHHH chills :)

#3 I have my first 2 showers THIS weekend!!! Fun posts next week! I have my Mother/ Daughter Bridal Shower at 4510 (never been, but stoked!!) and my Lake Highlands Couples Shower!

PS Can you spot Wedding Girl? :) She's still around!

The Honeymoon Plans!!!

Who invented honeymoons? God bless them!!! We booked ours last week! :)

After raving reviews about The Royal in Playa del Carmen from a coworker of mine, we decided to go for it!

How did we decide on Mexico you may ask? Well considering we will be leaving on Halloween- we figured why not partake in Dia de los Muertos??? Its a week of celebration and festivals all over Mexico. It takes place on Nov 1st and 2nd, so there should be lots of "culture" while we are there :)

We ALSO received a free swim with the dolophins in our package- now I am TERRIFIED of animals- I even have a hard time snorkeling, so the idea of riding on a big fish (even though I acknowlege its a mammal) is horrifying. HOWEVER, I am a daredevil and would love to experience it 1x in my life. We are going to make sure it is on video, no worries! ;) Think Jessica Simpson on Newlyweds, but maybe worse!

Don't be suprised if after the all inclusive week, couples massage, and private dinner on the beach for 2, that we sign up to become a maid and a waiter to help prolong the honeymoon and extend our stay!
Can you believe we are about to dip into October... wow, time flies!!!

Let the Parties Begin!

Peeps!!! 52 days and I am a married woman!!! Am I old enough for this???

Okay so here's my update- some SERIOUS progress has been made.

WE SENT OUT ALL INVITATIONS TODAY!!! WOOHOO! What an accomplishment :) Shout out to all the friends that helped me assemble them and shout out to my wonderful mother who kicks serious butt with her calligraphy!!!

I found it very entertaining at the post office today that the French addresses took a random conglomeration of 3 stamps in order to be enough to send it "snail mail" haha... hopefully they know not to bother RSVPing b/c we will be married by the time it gets back to us!

Okay so I stayed in Houston this past weekend with the B and SIL (well soon to be) and their adorable, amazingly upbeat baby Seth! I learned (someday) to skip the toys, just go for a laundry basket, yarn, and mommy's bra straps! haha It was great bonding time ... since Logan was IN the wedding, I got to talk about him and get all the dirt while he was gone ;) haha! Shout out to Erin's home cooked ribs w/ Grandpa Misegades famous BBQ sauce... yum!

Then, to make an even better ending to the long weekend I got home last night AND today from work and I HAD 2 OF MY BRIDAL SHOWER INVITATIONS!!! AHH its really happening! I got soooo giddy and excited about everything- I think the last stretch of this will be my favorite- most of the planning is done and the parties begin :)

I better start practicing my new signature... Misegades Misegades Misegades Misegades... and you people that read this, need to start studying the spelling haha :)
